1 killed after SUV hits tree in Florence County

FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — One person was killed Wednesday after an SUV hit a tree in Florence County, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at about 2:38 p.m. on Moulds Road, troopers said. A 2002 Toyota SUV was traveling east on Moulds Road when the driver ran off the left side of the road and hit a tree.

The driver was not wearing a seatbelt. The name of the person killed has not been released.

The crash remains under investigation.
