1 person burned in Darlington County house fire

DARLINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — One person was burned Thursday night in a Darlington County house fire, according to county fire Chief Ricky Flowers.

The fire broke out at a house on Creek Crossing Road in the Dovesville area. The homeowner was airlifted to the hospital.

Flowers said the homeowner sustained second-degree burns to about 15% of the body.

The cause of the fire appears to be electrical, according to Flowers.

He wasn’t able to provide any more information at this time.
