Deputies take wanted man into custody after Marion County manhunt

MARION COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A wanted man is in custody after a manhunt in Marion County.

Deputies were searching in the area of Highway 378 and Hickory Hill Road Tuesday, according to the sheriff’s office. Michael Crouch was wanted for kidnapping, third-degree assault and battery, resisting arrest, failure to pay child support, and first-degree domestic violence, according to online records.

Deputies searched from the air and the Emergency Response Team helped with the search.

Crouch is held in the Marion County Detention Center as of Wednesday evening.
