Dillon residents have elected a new mayor after nearly 15 years.

The City of Dillon held a run-off election for mayor on Tuesday. The two candidates in this election were Tally McColl and Corey Jackson.

According to the Dillon County Board of Voter Registration, Jackson received 652 votes and McColl received 620 votes. Jackson will take office in May 2019.

Residents previously voted for a new mayor on April 2. Three candidates ran in that election: McColl, Jackson, and Kenneth L. Smith. The results of that election were:

  • McColl: 557 votes
  • Jackson: 420 votes
  • Smith: 317 votes

Todd Davis was elected into office in 2003 and decided not to run for re-election in 2019.
