FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A police chase and manhunt overnight in Florence County ended with at least one person in custody, authorities said.

Ryan Kendrick Myers, 25, of Florence, was arrested and charged with three counts of breaking into motor vehicles and failure to stop for a blue light, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies tried to conduct a traffic stop on Myers Friday morning and he allegedly wouldn’t stop, according to the sheriff’s office. The chase ended near Walnut Street and Jarrott Street after Myers’ car hit a building.

Myers ran away and was later arrested on Sammy’s Lane near Hinson Street, according to deputies.

Myers allegedly stole a 45 caliber handgun, a .380 caliber handgun and a wallet with personal ID and credit cards from three cars on Juniper Road, according to the sheriff’s office.

The incident remains under investigation. Deputies said more charges and more arrests are possible.
