MARION, SC (WBTW) – Officials are asking drivers to please avoid an area of Highway 501 in Marion County.

Firefighters are battling a blaze in the area between Faulk Road to Planters Ridge. Highway 501 Business is shut down between those roads.

Crews were called at 7:04 a.m. for a fully involved fire, according to Marion Rural Fire Department.

There are no reported injuries and the building is a total loss.

Officials still have not determined a cause.

Marion Fire Department and Temperance Hill Volunteer Fire Department assisted.

Please avoid the area.
