Driver killed after rollover crash in Florence County

FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — One person is dead following a crash in Florence County, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at 10:27 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Pamplico Highway and Sunbeam Road. A 2020 GMC truck was traveling south on Pamplico Highway when it went off the left side of the road and overturned, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The driver of the truck was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected, troopers said. The driver died in the crash. Their identity has not been released.

A passenger in the truck was wearing a seatbelt and was taken to the hospital with injuries, troopers said.
