CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Charleston County Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to settle the Jamal Sutherland death case for $10 million.

Sutherland, a patient at a behavioral health facility, was arrested in January and died following an encounter with deputies at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
