LAURINBURG, N.C. (WBTW) — A shooting on Charlotte Street in Laurinburg on Thursday left one person critically injured and another person in jail, police said.
The shooting happened at about 10:40 a.m., according to police. A 22-year-old man was found laying on the floor of an apartment with a gunshot wound.
Police said the alleged shooter was also on the scene and was detained without incident.
The victim was taken to Scotland Memorial Hospital and is in critical condition, police said.
Police said the investigation is still ongoing and more information will be released later.
