USGS records magnitude 2.0 earthquake in South Carolina

LADSON, S.C. (WBTW) — A magnitude 2.0 earthquake was recorded overnight Friday in South Carolina, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The USGS recorded the quake at 11:17 p.m. Friday about 4 miles south-southwest of Ladson, which is in Berkeley and Dorchester counties, about 89 miles southeast of Columbia. It occurred at a depth of about 1.8 miles, the USGS said.
