Teen from North Myrtle Beach charged with disturbing schools

CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – A 17-year-old was arrested Friday for a threat directed toward North Myrtle Beach High School. 

Timothy Isaiah Perez of North Myrtle Beach was booked in the J Reuben Long Detention Center at 12:52 p.m. Friday after being arrested by Horry County police, booking records state. 

Horry County police spokesperson Krystal Dotson confirms the charge stems from an incident at North Myrtle Beach High School.

Police have not commented on the nature of the threat, but plan to release more information when the incident report is complete.

A post on the North Myrtle Beach High School Facebook page confirms law enforcement was notified about a two threats at the school Friday.
