Conway AD Marion Shaw Retiring After 40+ Years

CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – After serving Horry County schools for over four decades, Conway athletic director Marion Shaw is calling it a career.  Shaw has been a staple to thousands of kids through the decades.  He has worked at Aynor, Carolina Forest, and now most recently at Conway High School.

Shaw says it’s proud of the impact he’s had on the different generations of students that have gone through.

So what does he plan to do now in his spare time?  Well he’s on a mission to visit every high school football stadium in the state of South Carolina.  He says he’s about 1/3 of the way through and with more time at hand, he’s got a shot at making that happen.

Conway grad Jason Cox will take his place beginning in the 2019-2020 school year.  Cox was most recently the AD at Green Sea Floyds High School.
