The chance for rain will continue through Wednesday, then it will dry out for the end of the week. A cold front will move through the Carolinas tonight, and scattered showers will continue through the night. The front will stall to our south tomorrow. Rain chances will still be high along the coast, but inland areas, and especially in North Carolina, it will dry out a bit with just a few scattered showers. It will be a little cooler with high temperatures in the low 80s. An area of low pressure will develop along this front to our south, and move across the Carolinas on Wednesday. This will bring a soaking rain for much of the day Wednesday, before it moves away Wednesday night. Drier air will move in behind this storm system, and it will dry out for the end of the week with sunshine returning. Warmer and more humid weather will return Sunday and continue into next week.
