The chance for hit or miss showers will return today, and will last through the weekend. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will move up the coast from the tropics today, bringing a chance for rain. Rain is not expected to be very heavy or widespread. This moisture will move offshore over the weekend. However, a cold front will move into the Carolinas this weekend. There will be a small chance for a shower Saturday, then a better chance Sunday as the front moves through. The rain chance Friday through Sunday will be hit or miss, and not everyone will see rain. Rainfall totals will be mostly less than 1/2 inch. It will dry out next week, but stay warm with high temperatures in the 80s.
